Croats Abroad Initiative

Network registration and email updates

We collect your name, email, city and country to send information about activities and areas of interest, based on your voluntary consent. Registration becomes active after email confirmation. Unconfirmed registrations are removed after seven days at the next processing cycle; confirmed registrations are retained until you unsubscribe. The confirmation email contains an unsubscribe and deletion link.

Participation in an initiative

The form states the initiative's purpose. Step one collects first name, surname and email to record signatories and send confirmation. Step two collects street, house number, postal code, city and country to record signatories and the areas they represent. Step three optionally collects your reason for supporting the initiative (up to 2,500 characters), to help the organiser understand your support. The new form does not collect mobile numbers. Any additional questions are shown in the form. Data is sent only on final submission, not when moving between steps. Processing is based on explicit consent to participation and processing for this purpose; participation in a religious initiative may reveal religious beliefs. Participation does not automatically sign you up to the network.

The retention period is shown with each form. Unconfirmed registrations are deleted after seven days and confirmed ones after the stated period at the next processing cycle. To request earlier deletion, use your personal withdrawal link in the email or contact the organiser.

Pilgrimage registration

We collect the traveller's first name, surname, date of birth, nationality, email, mobile number, address, travel document type and expiry date, preferred departure point and an optional note. We do not request a document number or copy. With explicit consent, the data is used to check basic requirements and organise travel, including processing data that may reveal religious beliefs. Only authorised administrators can access it; it is not public and does not create a subscription. Registration is not a confirmed booking; the organiser contacts the traveller to finalise arrangements. The retention period is 90 days after return, with deletion at the next processing cycle. Contact the organiser for earlier deletion or correction.

Prayer and participation registration

The prayer form collects first name, surname and mobile number; the participation form also collects email. With explicit consent, we use these only for contact and arrangements for the chosen activity. The data is not public, is not a petition signature and does not create a subscription. Contact details are not automatically verified; the organiser checks them when making arrangements. They are retained for up to 90 days; expired registrations are removed at the next processing cycle. You can request deletion from the organiser.

Public display of names

Public support is a separate, optional choice. Your first name and city may be displayed only after email confirmation and this choice. Your surname, email, street, house number, postal code, message and answers to additional questions are not public. The full address and message are available only to an authorised administrator. Previously collected mobile numbers remain in older registrations until expiry or deletion. You may withdraw consent, which removes your public support.

SMS and WhatsApp

These forms do not subscribe you to SMS or WhatsApp notifications. Clicking WhatsApp opens an external service with its own privacy rules. A number previously provided for coordination does not constitute consent to marketing messages.

Storage and access

Registrations are stored in a private hosting directory outside the public website. Authorised administrators have access to process registrations and organise activities. Public displays use aggregate counts, not contact lists. Technical data used to prevent abuse is processed separately.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing. You may contact the competent data protection authority. A request may require proportionate identity verification to protect other people's registrations.
